Casual Friday

I usually wear my most comfortable outfits on friday. friday is the day that ends the week and it's the day that you want to relax the most on after school/work. I take the term "Casual Friday" very, very seriously. I feel like every day should be casual, but most of the time life has a dress code. You have to be fancy at least one day of the week, maybe three. Since society had created the "Casual Friday" trend, I've taken advantage of it and used it as an excuse to wear a t-shirt or a shirt dress on a weekday. Play by your own rules ;)

High-Waisted Heaven

I have to be completely honest. Most of my wardrobe alone is high-waisted. I enjoy a good high rise short or jean. It feels more comfortable and the fit around the waist is more flattering. Sometimes, however, I wear high-waisted clothing when it's not acceptable for the event. I walk in, everyone is wearing normal low rise denim shorts or a nice colored cotton. I slowly look down at my shoes and think to myself,
    "What was I thinking? It looks too casual! I don't have the body for this. The wash is too light. I'm the only one wearing these!" for at least 5 minutes. Finally, a friend of mine strides over and says,
    "Hey! You look great! I see so-in-so over there looking lonely. Let's go sit down and stare at him from afar!"
Then I feel like the bees knees and strut my way through the crowd. Well, I don't actually strut because I'm not that confident, but in my mind I do!
Anyway, I'm blabbering. This outfit is one of my favorites because it's comfortable and you can wear it to dinner with a friend, out running errands or just lounging around the house/apartment. Whichever tickles your fancy...
